Mia's Haven Crystals came to life through a chance encounter with the captivating world of crystals. It all started with a simple gift from a close friend who happens to be a Reiki master – a raw Amethyst and Quartz. I was instantly drawn to them, not fully understanding why, but I loved the tingling sensation they brought whenever I held them.                           

The real magic began at an outdoor festival where I stumbled upon some finished tumbles. I couldn't resist buying my first batch and that's when my fascination turned into a full-blown addiction. Each crystal I picked seemed to pulse with energy, leaving me craving more.

Then came a strange twist. After dealing with a troublesome roommate, we found some mysterious clay figures hidden in the walls of our home. Cue the spooky music – turns out, we had a hex placed on us! Seeking advice from a local spiritual store, we found solace in crystals for protection. That's when I got my first crystal necklace, a beautiful piece of Lepidolite, chosen purely by instinct. Later, diving into its properties, I realized why it had called to me. 

My thirst for knowledge grew, leading me to dive into several crystal books and I researched every crystal my wife brought home from a Tennessee mine.

I was hooked. I wanted to know everything about them. So, armed with a notebook and determination, I embarked on a journey to identify every single piece I had. I discovered that different sources had different things to teach about crystal materials, so I compiled a long list of all my research about the crystals and came up with a huge notebook full of them!  (Coming soon in the crystal materials & uses section of this site.)

After months of fascination and discovery, I found myself tumbling and shaping crystals, covering myself head to toe in dust. But amidst personal challenges, I discovered the power of crystals to control my emotions. It was life-changing. And when I became a Reiki practitioner, I found a way to infuse them with even more healing energy.

With time on my hands during recovery from surgery, I stumbled upon online crystal shows. Before I knew it, my shelves were overflowing with crystals of all shapes and sizes. My wife said I couldn't buy anymore crystals until I sold some of the duplicates, and got rid of some.  And so, Mia's Haven Crystals was born. 

Driven by a desire to share the healing power of crystals with everyone, regardless of budget, Mia's Haven Crystals is a labor of love. As a mom to two adopted kids, I'm on a mission to make crystal healing accessible to all. Our commitment to authenticity and lightning-fast shipping is all part of our goal to create lifelong customers.
